Caged Fixed Ladders
Traditional Roof and Equipment Access Solutions
Caged fixed ladders are still used in certain facilities for roof access, equipment platforms, mezzanines, and elevated work areas. While ladder cages may still be requested for some applications, cages are no longer considered the preferred method of fall protection for taller fixed ladders.
CH Bull helps facilities evaluate whether a caged ladder, ladder safety system, or full ladder replacement is the right fit based on ladder height, site conditions, worker exposure, and OSHA requirements.
Planning ahead: OSHA requires ladder safety systems or personal fall arrest systems on fixed ladders over 24 feet. All existing systems must comply by November 18, 2036.

Compare Caged Ladder & Access Ladder Options

Don’t Rely on the Cage Alone
Caged ladders can still be part of a safe access system, but they may not provide the fall protection your facility needs. CH Bull can help evaluate your existing ladder, access point, and OSHA requirements to recommend the right next step.
